Councillor Joanna Wilkins, °¬˛ćAƬ County Council, Executive Member for Environment Said:
“The Council is resuming the Bulky Waste Collection Service and we ask our residents to use our online platforms to request and book the service.
Our Contact Centre is focusing on providing critical support to our most vulnerable in the community and those who are shielding through the work of our Virtual Response Teams. Therefore, we ask residents not to contact us through the Contact Centre to request a collection so that we can continue to support these services as a priority.
Please use My Services via the Council’s website www.blaenau-gwent.gov.uk . The Contact Centre will not be able to book a collection for you. If you cannot access the website, please ask a member of your family or a friend to book a collection online on your behalf.
We’re grateful to residents for their patience during this difficult time and thank those who have been storing old items of furniture responsibly whilst waiting for this service to resume. We also ask for residents’ patience going forward, as we refine the service in line with government guidance.”
Payments for the Bulky Waste Collection Service can be made safely online. The online process will provide information on when your waste must be presented at the kerbside. Two metres distance must always be maintained between residents and operatives.
