Business Grants: Deadline Approaching

At the start of the lockdown, the Welsh Government quickly made available grants of £10,000 and £25,000 for businesses affected by the Covid-19 emergency. Businesses and organisations who are registered for business rates received grants of either £10,000 or £25,000 depending on their size of premises.

To date more than £13.7m has been paid out to 1,231 °¬²æAƬ businesses however time is running out to apply for a grant and it is possible that your business could still benefit if you act now. The scheme closes to new applications on 30 June 2020 so local businesses need to act quickly to make sure they don’t miss out.

Neal Elstone of Your Way Events Management said:
“The grant was a godsend to us, without it our company would have had to close. The grant helps us pay our rent and overheads until we can reopen again. I would like to thank the °¬²æAƬ Council officers who supported us through this tricky period and fought our corner to help us secure the grant.â€

“In these times of uncertainty, it is important that as many of our businesses as possible, secure the funding that is available to them. We have a great team of officers ready to help, advise and process your application so please make your application before you miss the deadline.â€
