The firm, which launched with the help of a Kickstart Grant, now has offices in Brynmawr and is aiming to have a nine-strong team within three years. Kickstart is administered jointly by Tata Steel subsidiary UK Steel Enterprise and °¬˛ćAƬ County Borough Council.
Set up by Gareth Davies and Gavin Thomas 16 months ago, the firm originally concentrated on branded promotional goods, and has now widened its client services providing support for social media presence via their media plan product, alongside Corporate Strategy Development Services for the marketing of SME’s on a successful basis.
“We have expanded our facilities to include our multimedia package thus helping firms small and large to achieve a strong, consistent social media presence”, commented Gavin.
“Very often businesses are too busy to take time to make sure their social media is effective and relevant,” he added. “We are able to make sure that they make the most of this, and avoid the many pitfalls that can occur.”
Instagram and LinkedIn in particular are underused by businesses in their marketing efforts, he said.
The promotional side of the business has grown considerably. Eminent Promotions can emblazon virtually any product with a corporate logo, be it a model car, T-Shirt, key ring or other item.
Clients cover a broad range of activities and sizes, including energy companies, property developers and smaller contractors.
“The business has grown rapidly and we are now ready to take the next step in terms of expansion,” added Gavin. “We are planning to expand the team with an extra person on the video media side, as well an administrator.
In three years our aim is to have a nine-strong professional team producing all work entirely within Eminent as a successful Creative Agency.
Glyn Thomas, Manager in Wales for UK Steel Enterprise, said: “Eminent Promotions typifies the sort of business we are aiming to support with the Kickstart programme.
“The funding has released the business potential of Gareth and Gavin, who are now setting about creating quality jobs in the area.”
Cllr Dai Davies, Executive Member for Regeneration & Economic Development at °¬˛ćAƬ County Borough Council, added: “The Kickstart and Kickstart Plus schemes have an excellent track record and we are pleased to have supported Eminent with start-up funding.
“Their plans for growth are very encouraging and we will continue to support them to develop even further. I would encourage any start-up, or existing business looking to grow, to contact the Council’s Economic Development Unit for advice and support.”
