This year to celebrate Foster Care Fortnight, Gwent decided to host a Regional Men Who Care Wellbeing Walk at Pontypool Park, in Torfaen.
Our 5 Local authorities banded together to raise awareness of the transformational power of fostering and to celebrate the fostering community, in particular our male local authority foster carers.
Our Wellbeing walk therefore gave our male foster carers the opportunity to share with the world #WhyWeCare.
Pontypool Leisure Centre graciously provided an outdoor space, as well as beverages and a goody bag for our male local authority foster carers and we would therefore like to thank them for their wonderful hospitality and generosity.
Foster Care Fortnight is the Fostering Network's annual campaign to raise the profile of fostering and to show how foster care can transform lives. This year Foster Care Fortnight will be taking place from today until 23 May.
