We’ve recently issued 12 Premises Improvement Notices to takeaway premises around the county borough, requiring them to make improvements in order to fully comply with the Covid-19 regulations in place for businesses.
The regulations impose certain restrictions requirements to protect against the risks to public health arising from Coronavirus. Failure to comply with the requirements of the Regulations, without reasonable excuse, is a criminal offence.
Our Public Protection officers issued the notices in line with the latest Welsh Government health protection regulations.

Councillor Joanna Wilkins, the Council’s Executive Member for the Environment says:
“We have been working with local businesses to provide advice and support on what is required of them under the Covid-19 regulations. These rules and regulation are in place for the safety of both customers and staff and should be adhered to by law. We are encouraging and supporting local businesses to comply, and the majority of our businesses are doing a great job, but where businesses are failing to respond we will take the necessary action to stop Coronavirus spreading in our communities in °¬˛ćAƬ.”
